DigiDeal's new Virtual Chip System (VCS), a dealer-less virtual card game system incorporating Octavian software and virtual payment technologies, is to be jointly unveiled at G2E by DigiDeal and Octavian.
Based on DigiDeal's award-winning Digital Card System (DCS), which utilises a digital card delivery system and a live dealer, VCS takes digital card games to the next level by making the need for a live dealer optional.
Octavian's role has been to develop the software applications at the heart of VCS - including the virtual payment system - and to integrate the software with the well-established DigiDeal platform and hardware.
VCS expands on DCS by providing a virtual 7-position card table system that includes bills in and paper-out money handling for players and strict accountability for the venue and regulatory bodies.
Harmen Brenninkmeijer, CEO of Octavian, said that the DigiDeal Virtual Chip System will open up new opportunities for operators: "In many gaming jurisdictions live table games are not allowed because of insufficient accountability. Also, securely managing a traditional pit area requires a certain level of resources and infrastructure. The Virtual Chip System overcomes these barriers by offering a totally digital, dealer-less system in which not only the cards but also the chips are virtual facsimiles."
